Canadian Red Seal trade

I’m a dual citizen of Canada and Portugal with a Canadian Red Seal certification in electrical. I have never lived in Portugal but I’m looking to relocate there and would like to continue working in my field of building automation (DDC) or switch to renewable energy.

I’m wondering if anyone here has successfully transferred their Red Seal qualification to Portugal or elsewhere in the EU? Also any information or insight into these fields in Portugal?

Currently I am waiting to hear back from DGERT about my certificate and how it may or may not transfer.

I’d really appreciate any advice or tips, if anyone has gone through this process or has knowledge of the options available.
