Is Generation Jones better at relationships than many other generations?

Every generation has its warts and strengths.

Years ago, I read that statistically that the Lost Generation (Rat Pack) had more stable relationships than the Greatest and the Boomers.

And the Lost Generation is kind of like us. Lost in the noise of the bigger generations on each side. A transitional generation more than a "draw a line in the sand" generation.

I just did a quick query about our celebrities: Obamas, Jon Steward, Stephen Colbert, George Clooney, Kamala Harris, Keanu Reeves, Sarah Palin, Caroline Kennedy... A lot of long marriages there for a list like this.

I think maybe AIDS set us up for this. It was safer to be at least serially monogamous, so we learned how to do it young.

IDK, I've been trying to figure out why the modern relationship numbers are so sad. It could just be as simple as there are much better toys now and the lack of pharmaceuticals that effected the sex drive back then.
