Possible cashapp scam?

hi so i saw that someone was giving free money out on cashapp, so i dropped my tag because the money could help with my college tuition and apartment bills. the thing is, i have to send money on bitcoin and click on links on my email. and the email isn’t an official cashapp email and there was improper grammar. not sure if thats a scam although the person seems genuine. idk guys am i falling for a scam?
