I can't print gcode file from micro sd card?

I have x1c printer with ams. I sliced something using astroprint and uploaded the gcode file to the card. put the card on but when i select the file and click it just moves the nosle around and around the bed mindlessly forever, until i stop it. 1 hour in its still doing that and then it stoped itself. whats wrong with it? does it not know what color and filament to use? i even tried removing all but 1 filamentspool from my ams and still does the same. please help ? I opened a support ticket but they didn't get back to me.
