First time doing this not sure if I’m going about it correctly
🆘 [HELP] No Display / BIOS Access After New PC Build – TUF Z790 + i5-14600K + GTX 980 Ti
Build Specs: • Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-PLUS WiFi • CPU: Intel Core i5-14600K • GPU: NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti • RAM: 1×16GB DDR5 (in slot A2) • Storage: 1TB SATA SSD • PSU: EVGA 450W • OS: None installed yet (can’t get to install screen)

The Problem:
I just built this PC, but I’m stuck with no display output at all — not even BIOS. Here’s what’s happening: • All fans (case, CPU, GPU) spin when I power on • Motherboard LEDs light up — I saw DRAM and BOOT lights earlier, but now it’s only showing the green BOOT light • No signal on monitor — tried both GPU HDMI/DP and motherboard HDMI • GPU (GTX 980 Ti) is fully seated with both PCIe power cables connected • Tried: • Clearing CMOS (removed battery and used jumper) • Booting with only CPU + 1 RAM stick • Reseating everything (RAM, GPU, CPU, SSD) • Using both GPU and onboard graphics (with GPU removed)
⸻
Questions: • Is my 450W EVGA PSU underpowered for this setup? • Could the issue be related to BIOS needing an update for RAM/CPU? • Is it more likely to be a dead GPU, motherboard issue, or boot config problem?
Any help or direction would be appreciated — I just want to get into BIOS at this point. Let me know what else I should try or test!
