Need advice for Winter.

I have a LOT of hours, but this is the first time the radio has forecast snow for me. Any classic blunders to be wary of going in to the snowy season? Build 41. I have the basics covered: antique oven, padded clothes, food, fertilizer, etc. Just never been out tromping through the snow before. Any surprises ahead?
