Aziraphale and speaking French

So as we all know aziraphale cannot speak French very well as he learnt the human way. Was rewatching with my boyfriend and he asked why they had aziraphale not be able to speak French very well and I said I dont know, just a quirk. He suggested that aziraphale can't speak French because its the language of love and romance and he doesn't know how to speak that language!! It blew my tiny little mind! So yes, maybe its really overthinking a fun little character trait but honestly it makes sense to my little good omens obsessed brain.
