job interviews going nowhere/waste of time

For reference i'm 19, looking for my first job (minimum wage part-time food/retail.) With the few interviews i've had they have all been the same. They've all ended within 10 minutes, with the interview process being where i'm asked only a few questions (that are almost always already answered within the application i sent in the first place), directed to fill out another application, and told that i'll have a response in a few days or a week, to only never recieve a response. Every single time, no joke. Also, when applying i try to apply through the company websites, and only try to use indeed just for searching because i've heard things about ghost listings. Am i crazy? Has anyone else experienced something like this?? It always just feels like such a waste of time. I'm going to keep applying places but god is it frustrating.
