The Loneliness Lie
Reddit’s r/LifeAdvice is flooded with posts like, “I feel so alone, how do I connect?” (June 2025). I used to chase “belonging,” joining clubs, forcing small talk, thinking I needed people to feel whole. The spook of “community” had me begging for approval, molding myself to fit. Egoism flipped the switch: I don’t need a crowd to validate me—I’m enough. Now I seek people who vibe with my wavelength, not because I’m “supposed” to have friends, but because they add spice to my life. If I’m alone, I’m not lonely—I’m free, sipping coffee, blasting music, living for me. The world’s not my crutch; it’s my playground.
Life Application: Feeling lonely? Stop chasing “connection” to fill a void. Ask: What do I enjoy? Do that, unapologetically. The right people will find you when you’re living your truth.
