Help with drones

So I’m a relatively new player only like 50 hours or so but I cannot get the drones to work for the life of me, the drone and the drone terminal are both nato but yet whenever I enter the action menu near the drone the option to enter the drone terminal or connect to the drone isn’t there. I’ve also tried spawning in the drone using commands and spawning in a drone operator and killing him taking the terminal off his body but yet nothing in the action menu besides inventory, any tips?
