Sleep paralysis & paralysis fears

I had an episode of sleep paralysis on an airplane. It was so disturbing. I could hear the announcements and then because my neck was slumped, I could feel pain in my neck. I felt utter panic that when I finally broke from it, I started flailing my arms then cried.

Then I turned around and told my husband do not let me live if I'm in full paralysis. Anyone else developed a fear of paralysis? my sister's friend is paralyzed and unable to communicate besides blinking after a horrible fall. I keep thinking how awful it must be.
