Outfits and positional authority

Hello! I’m curious about people’s thoughts/experiences are around the term “business-casual”. The historical context of professionalism is of course rooted in white supremacy and classism, and that was never properly addressed (putting it painfully mildly ofc). I also feel it’s condescending to assume we NEED to dress professionally to help clients understand our role as SWs with “positional authority”. What are the dress-code policies like at your agencies? Do you “agree” w/them?
