HP 8035 won't power on unless I open the lid. It then immediately powers off when I close the lid.

HP 8035 won't power on unless I open the lid. It then immediately powers off when I close the lid. Did all the unplug and plug nonsense. Tried different outlets. I find it very odd. Seems like a very specific issue, but not finding anything online
