I've been deep in the Samsung ecosystem for the past couple of years. Started with the S23 Ultra, then moved to the Fold 6 as soon as it came out — and yeah, it looked like the future. But recently, I hit a point where I needed to make a real change.

Before Samsung, I was on Apple from 2012 all the way through, but I got bored. I wanted more control, more features — and switching to Samsung honestly felt like unlocking a new level.

But here's the truth about the Fold 6 after almost a year of daily use:

It’s an amazing phone in theory — big screen, multitasking, attention-grabbing.

But in real life? It’s awkward.

The front screen is too narrow to type comfortably.

The phone is heavy, the cases are bulky, and the battery is straight-up awful.

I run a restaurant and barely get time on my phone — but it’s still dying constantly.

I’ve had to carry a charger everywhere just to survive the day.

The last straw? I fell asleep with 60% battery before a flight. Woke up and the phone was dead — no alarm, almost missed my flight. I don’t even know what drained it. I just know I can’t let that happen again.

I was eyeing the Pixel 9 Pro XL, and part of me still wonders about it, especially with all that Google AI. But I ended up pulling the trigger on something that just made sense:
👉 OnePlus 13, 512GB, Excellent Condition – $850 on eBay
Insane specs. 2-day battery. 80W fast charging. 16GB RAM. It just checked all the boxes.

But now I’m sitting here wondering:

Was this actually the right move, or did I leave too much behind?

What am I going to miss most from Samsung?

Any other ex-Fold users make a similar switch?

Appreciate any real takes. I'm not chasing trends — I'm just trying to avoid unnecessary stress in my day-to-day and still enjoy using my phone again. 🙏

Apple since 2012 → S23 Ultra → Fold 6 → Now OnePlus 13 (512GB). Did I finally make the right move? Or a mistake?
