Rust Devours My Internet

Discussion

The simple answer I already know is to switch internet providers to something I know that works.
Thats not what im looking for. I want to know what the actual reason this happens and/or what i can do to fix it.

PC: (none of this should matter but its here anyway)

intel i5-13600k
NVidia 3060Ti
32g DDR4 ram
Asrock H670 Steel Legend Mobo
rust is installed on my m.2 ssd which is not my boot drive

ISP: (this is almost certainly the culprit but i just wanna know why)

Tmobile 5G Home Internet.
I tend to get good enough performance out of it for me and my sister to game at the same time and not have any issues while there is multiple phones and tvs connected to the internet.

Let me get right to the point. when I join a server on rust (any server even if its got 0 players or 750). my internet decides its had enough and implodes on itself.

Tvs and phones that are connected to the internet will instantly start lagging and buffering videos. they will have a hard time sending messages over messaging apps such as discord snapchat or instagram. messages can take up to 2 minutes to actually send and videos will not even play properly in 360p.

It is only when i join a rust server. I do not understand what the reason could be. if I play apex legends my ping is high around 75-90 on average which was to be expected with 5g internet, but it does not cause any internet issues other than that. this is the same with Valorant, Battlefield 5, Minecraft, Sea Of Thieves, Rainbow 6. CS2, REPO, Marvel Rivals, Fortnite, etc... none of these have any issue.

Not a single game i have ever played since i switched to this internet has had an issue nearly as bad as rust has. I have had packet loss, I have had ping spikes, I have had rubber banding in games... but for some reason rust decides to blow it up freak style.

game was open for about 1 hour before i decided to join a server since i was afk. you can see my ping was fine minutes before i joined.

When i open the game my internet is fine as shown in the previous image. The real issues start when i load into a server. There is about a 10% chance rust will work and i can just play normally but with ping a bit higher than average.

I get maybe 5- 10 minutes of normal playtime on any given server. Then BOOM disconnected and i cant even send a message to my friends on discord telling them i just dc'd with base mats in front of an oxums.

speed test via cloudlfare

speed test via speedtest.net / ookla

it lasted about 2 minutes where i was unable to do anything. attempting to reconnect to the server just kicked me \"disconnected: connection attempt failed\"

this is what my ping normally looks like, i know its all over the place but its generally good enough to not notice.
