PE (pulmonary embolism)

TW: fear of bleeding out/passing away

I’m 35 weeks pregnant & have had symptoms of PE, my d-dimer came back also indicating this. Chest X RAY (which has risk to baby) came back clear ECG came back clear I was offered the choice of a CT scan which put baby at risk or a VQ scan which put my breasts (lactation) at risk. Due to having a chest x ray already today I picked the VQ but couldn’t have it done today so I’ve been sent home with blood thinners.

I’m due to have a c section around 38 weeks for GDM (gestational diabetes)

Has anyone developed PE later in pregnancy & successfully had their c section. Can you tell me your experiences as I’m honestly in tears with fear of bleeding out or passing away and leaving my two toddlers and family behind💔
