I would like to get back into riding and have some questions.
Thank you to anyone who cares to help. I do not have a lot of money to spend, and currently have interest in buying a used klx 150. I know this is a very low powered, small bike but I think it should hopefully be cheap to run/maintain, and be enough for my needs, until I chose to upgrade. I honestly don't really know anything about bikes, especially buying a used one. I asked the seller if there is any problems with the bike, and I was told the carb needs retuning. From my admittedly limited research it seems this should be an affordable repair? Or could this be a much bigger issue than I realise? Is there a way to know if a carb needs retuning vs replacing? The bike is 7 years old fwiw.
I have been burnt in situations like this before due to my lack of knowledge, so im just really looking for any advice from more experienced and knowledgeable people, or any other important things I should take into consideration before making this purchase. Again I know this isn't a lot of money, but I dont have money to waste. I would go and inspect it personally, but it's quite far away so I want to be a little more convinced it is worth the effort.
I appreciate any advice.
