He M-34 complained to me F-24 that conversation is scarier than sex?

I (F/25) guess I assumed this was all our connection would be because it started that way. Keeping in mind we haven't actually met yet. Then he (M/34) made a remark about how strange it is in today's century conversations are scarier than sex. So I told him about what I was thinking and he said I completely turned the tables on him and he was impressed. It sounds like he actually wants to get to know me and I'm really pleasantly surprised. We have been talking briefly from a dating app and haven't met in person yet but he has expressed interest in seeing me. I also am developing a crush on him. We are both interested in similar things and he seems very creative and interesting.

Tldr; trying to interpret if he's serious about me or not.
