35F, Unexplained anemia and bloody mucus on TP

I have appointments scheduled a month from now (fastest I could be seen), but am trying not to freak out in the meantime and wondering if I could get some advice.

For the past ten years I’ve had suspected anal fissures/intermittent bright red blood on TP every few months or so accompanied by stinging pain and always after a difficult BM. Never noticed blood in stool. I also have chronic anemia and have noticed some clear mucus on TP off and on.

This past week, I’ve noticed mucus on TP that is tinged with a darker maroon blood. I know dark blood = more concerning in some cases and I’m terrified about colon cancer. My BM’s are normal outside of some bouts of diarrhea and stomach aches here and there which is typical for me about once a month. I’ve also had spotting between periods but checked to make sure I’m not confusing the bloody mucus’s origin. It’s definitely anal mucus/blood. I’m celibate so no STD’s. There’s some anal burning/itchiness involved but not too bad.

Does this sound like hemorrhoids, IBD, or something more sinister?
