Trouble finding motivation

I have an hour and a half commute to and from my practice space, which turns a practice session into a multi hour ordeal. So most days I am using a pad and kick pad to practice, and due to neighbors upstairs I can only practice for Max half an hour a day. It gets the job done for the most part, but I find myself lacking motivation to practice because the passion I feel for drumming is just not felt when I am practicing on the pad for most of my sessions. Especially with such limited time, it's hard to get in the zone. Has anyone else experienced this, and how did you get around it/find the spark with the limitations?
