Certain games won’t work and crash task manager

Apologies if the flair is incorrect. I got my first pc built a few weeks ago and the only issue I ran into was some games like Expedition 33 and Rematch not working on Xbox Live. They would open for a split second and then freeze. They would refuse to close and if I opened task manager it would also freeze until I restarted my computer. I had never Xbox Game Pass until then so I thought it was a problem from them and decided to buy Expedition 33 on steam. Well once again the game freezes and makes task manager freeze with it. Other games like rune factory and stardew don’t do this. I don’t understand what could be the problem. I have a good gpu (Radeon 9070xt) and all of my stuff is pretty good so I don’t understand why my pc can’t even open these games when they work perfectly fine on my 6 year old hp laptop. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix this?
