Grease Pen Help

Found an old grease pen today behind the office. Perfect because we keep losing the ones we usually lose for the main lines. Here’s the problem though, there seems to be some grease pen…. Ink(?)… stuck in the tip of it. Tried using a paper clip to dig through, tried soaking it in hot water pre digging with paper clip, but doesn’t seem to be working to well. Any ideas on how to get this chunk of…pastel(?) out of the cap of the pen? Thank you!
