Where are the black people in Buffalo?

I’ve been living here for a few months now and I’ve been having a difficult time meeting other black folks. I was told that the people who were born and raised in Buffalo don’t really care to make connections with others who aren’t also originally from here. It’s been a bit isolating if I’m being honest. I’m not opposed to meeting black people who are “transplants” or natives but I’d love to go to some events for black people.

I’m West Indian so any event suggestions (that aren’t parties or night clubs), I’d be into that! I did hear that there’s a Jamaican market happening soon and I’ll be attending that.
