Truth She'll Never Hear
"Truth She’ll Never Hear" By Me. For Me.
You said he was just a friend. That there was nothing to worry about. But I knew. I felt the change. The silence. The way you stopped looking at me. The way you emotionally checked out long before you had the courage to end it.
I tried. I really did. I tried to talk to you. To reach you. To fix things. But after months of trying, of being ignored, I broke down. I got angry. I yelled. Not because I wanted to hurt you—but because I was hurting, and you just stood there like none of it mattered.
I wasn’t perfect. I’ll own that. But I was honest. I didn’t lie, sneak around, or entertain someone else while we were still a family. You did.
You brought him into your life—and our daughter’s life—before we were even done. And now he’s in your house, around our child, hiding in the background like a secret. And you pretend like I don’t see it.
Why hide him if it’s all so right? Why lie if you’ve done nothing wrong?
Worse than the betrayal is how you let him try to rewrite my story—getting involved in our custody case, saying things to paint me like I was a threat, like I was unfit. He doesn’t even know me. But you let him do it.
And now every drop-off, every pick-up, feels like walking into a room where I’ve been erased. He’s the ghost standing in the life I used to live, and I’m forced to swallow my pain and smile for our daughter. And you—you just act like it’s normal.
I feel replaced. Discarded. Like I was just a placeholder until you found someone new to fill the role. And you didn’t even give me the dignity of honesty.
But here’s what you’ll never be able to erase: I was there. I showed up. I stayed. I fought for us until you left me with nothing left to fight for. And I keep showing up now—for our daughter, for her future, and for mine.
You’ll probably never admit what you did. You’ll never own how far you crossed the line. But I know. And one day, our daughter will know who stayed grounded, who kept it real, and who didn’t run when it got hard.
This pain won’t define me. Your betrayal won’t destroy me. And I won’t carry your guilt on my back anymore.
This is me—putting it down.
For good.
