Choosing to have a child takes a certain level of narcissism

I don’t look in the mirror and think “There should be a copy of me!”. I’m by almost all measures an above average person in career, money and looks and I still don’t think there should be a copy of me. I know antinatalism is about the suffering of the unborn child but I had this interesting thought today. Nature tricks people into being deluded about themselves so that they think they’re worthy of reproduction.
