Are composite charts more important than synastry charts?

I’ve been looking at both of my parents natal charts and it’s crazy how so much of it aligns with their life. They were married 34 years and are now in the process of a divorce.

Their synastry chart is pretty good overall. Some conflicting aspects of course, but I wouldn’t call it a bad one. I’ve seen worse. But then when I run their composite chart, they have an exact Mutable Grand Cross. Crazy! Looking at things like this I am surprised they made it this long. I know from my mom’s view the marriage has essentially been dead emotionally for a few years, but my dad was blind to these problems.

It’s crazy seeing things like that. It makes me wonder if composite charts are more important, and it does make me question the idea of soulmates… I thought my parents had a perfect marriage growing up, but the charts seem to say otherwise.
