Is it just me or do the known foreign food brands taste different here?

Pringles

Lays

Anchor butter

...

Same brand, same packaging...but tastes different. I thought there would be uniformity in taste and quality regardless of were the brand is sold...isn't it so? I'm thinking maybe my taste buds ate changing?? Anyone?
