iPadOS 26 (M series) + external display + universal control?

Can anyone try and share please, if iPadOS with an external display can be controlled on both screens with a Mac over universal control? I still have the latest non M series iPad Pro that lacks the (proper) external display support, and didn’t find any source about it. Thanks
