Influencers donating to flood recovery efforts

Anyone else getting the biggest “ick” from all the influencers still pushing to get commissions from links from all the sales this week & donating a portion to the flood recovery efforts in TX? Supporting their lifestyles & them getting the benefits of a potentially large tax write off due to their followers’ purchases does not scream altruism to me. While I appreciate the sentiment the “let me get mine first” vibes are not it this week after the truly horrific events that have happened. 🤢 profiting off others’ losses under the guise of doing something kind to make themselves more money is cringeworthy.
