Here’s a 90s (probably?) Fender “The Twin”. I’m just scratching the surface so far but what I know at the moment is it is loud and heavy! Even with the “low power” setting of 25W it’s needlessly loud at even 2 and below volume levels. Although it’s borderline unusably loud, I still love it! At least till I get complaints from neighbors lol. So far my favorite thing has been to use the parallel channel feature with the clean channel a tad louder but with the gain in the second channel at around 4 or so. This, paired with the compression pedal at more or less unity gain gives it a nice “edge of breakup” sound (if you’ll forgive the buzzwords) at least when I really play hard.

The pedalboard is currently in a state of flux which is why it looks so oddly spaced and messy but that leads me to a question: anyone know a low-ish gain drive pedal that might work well with this setup? I’d love a way to get a good overdrive sound at something close to unity volume so I guess I’m looking for a pedal that primarily produces its own gain rather than simply pushing the amp harder (although I understand pedals usually do both)?

Anyways, awesome amp from a somewhat obscure Fender era that I’d thought I’d share. If anyone else has this amp, what are some of y’all’s favorite settings or tricks?
Thanks!
