Dumb Logistical questions but things I am worrying about…

I am preparing for a seton drain to be placed at 12’o clock next Wednesday. I am getting my sitz bath etc.

Question: how did you get home? I have about a 45 min drive after surgery, were you able to sit for the ride home?

Question: anything you wish you had done to get ready? Or some strange thing you discovered that made you more comfortable during recovery?

Question: how/where did you recover at home? Bed? Recliner? Standing up?

Question: how long is the drain going to stick out? I keep imagining it as a 8” blue tail.

Question: what did you wear? Nightgown ok or are shorts easier to manage?

Question: did your doctor say something to you that left an impression?

If you can answer any of these questions, I would appreciate the advice. So much is out of my control right now, I am trying to focus on being prepared, which I can control.
