When to Apply for Contract?

Hey everyone I was wondering when did people who have contract apply like what was your stats like? For example I’m on 12collection 4.3k views and have 8 chapter uploaded so for which is around 24k words I want to apply but I’ve seen you only have 3 shots so don’t want to waste it, any advice would be help full
