Question

Why do we get an eternal judgement for finite sins? I somewhat understand the claim that sin means much more to god than it does to us and to him it’s not just “finite”.

I just don’t get how we get judged for eternity when our lives are really so short. Most of our decisions are shaped by our experiences, our traumas, and the people around us.

Some live only to 20 or even less than that, most people are barely an adult maturity wise at that point. Why would he give us an eternal judgement after such a short time? Especially when some grow up with awful parents, awful environments, etc.

I’m a Christian and I have faith in Christ I just really struggle with this question, any answers are much appreciated
