Need help painting!

I am an amateur level player looking to learn how to play jazz and invest in my first semi hollow/hollow body and want to paint it with my partner to commemorate the moment and get some well deserved time to ourselves.

I don’t want to get a kit online as I’m suspicious of the quality.

How would I be able to paint an already finished guitar/strip the finish?
