Spiked PD cassettes

We are looking to go to Mexico and Baxter can ship the bags and cassettes to the hotel of our choice. Baxter said that the cassettes are spiked. Our PD nurse has no idea what that means. Anyone have experience with these? I assume the will work with my wife's cycles, but who knows.
