Why is this happening to me
There’s something strange going on in my social life, and it’s really starting to affect me. Every time I meet someone new or try to build a friendship, something just feels… off. And it’s not the normal kind of awkwardness you expect when people are still getting to know each other — it’s deeper than that.
People often act like they’re afraid of me. Their whole energy shifts. They avoid eye contact, freeze up, and speak only if I initiate. It’s as if they’re walking on eggshells around me, like they expect me to judge or attack them — which is honestly the opposite of who I am. Even people close to me, like my sister, talk to me with this guarded look on their face, like they’re bracing for judgment. And the worst part is, I’m not judging anyone. I genuinely try to be kind, open, and understanding — but it’s like people just can’t see that.
At the same time, I’ve experienced the complete opposite too — where some people I barely know suddenly cling to me. The relationship is still surface-level, but they start acting as if we’re best friends. It becomes overwhelming, and sometimes it even crosses personal boundaries — like physical touch or just being too present in a way that feels invasive. And this doesn’t just happen once — it’s a pattern I’ve seen repeat itself.
It’s confusing and exhausting. On one side, people act distant and scared, and on the other, some latch on too intensely. I’m left in the middle, not really understanding what kind of energy I’m giving off — or why people are reacting to me in such extreme ways.
