2 1000s?

I'm looking at the Amazon prime prices on the 1000 version 2s. I'm thinking that I might buy two, which is actually less than the 2000 is. They're also smaller and I thought they'd be easier to move around .

The problem that I'm trying to solve is this. We live in a rural area of Minnesota. We regularly lose power for an hour to 4 hours. This happens probably four to five times a year, mostly in the summertime, but also occasionally in winter.

Generally, what I would like to be able to do is to keep the refrigerator cool, and run the pump on our well. The well pump doesn't run regularly, but when it does it pulls quite a bit of power. Of course, when the power is out, we don't flush all the time but occasionally it's necessary if you get my drift 🙂

We also have a propane powered generator that we could use to recharge the batteries if the power is out longer than just a few hours. I thought that we could easily move one of the 1000s that got used more than the other to the generator, recharge it, and move the Fuller one to the busier circuit.

This way we could probably last for several days and not ruin any food. We have a couple of 150 gallon tanks of LP outside. We have a wood burner fireplace to heat the house if the winter time for fun and backup gear in an emergency.

Does this strategy make sense? Essentially the sale on Amazon is a BOGO, so I want to do it right away if it does.
