Need help, playing defense is impossible

How do you play defense in this game? I am in level 5 on rivals and can’t ever get behind anyone, and my team despite the line being back is always caught out of position and my players become statues going the wrong way when anyone else has the ball in my box. It’s almost like every single time all the other team does is get it down there and wait for one of my guys to go spastic and they have a wide open goal.

Seriously - how do you defend? I’ve never been so frustrated with a game ever. I have all 95-96 players at the back too.

Want to quit this game so badly.
