Sugar daddy without humor/flirty side

I have a sugar daddy I've been with for a good few months (he has a foot fetish so that's a big thing I provide for him, and it's something I specialize in). He's about 25 years older than me, and for the most part it's fun to learn about him, connect, send videos and pictures back and forth, messages throughout the day, etc.

The only thing that bugs the crap out of me is I cannot tell jokes or get super flirty because he seems to take things SO literal. For example he said something like "I'm so hot over here" because it's 100+ degrees and I replied, "oo is daddy bragging about how hot he is? 😉" winky face and all. He then is like "whoa. I wasn't bragging at all why would you say that I'm not that type of person??", overreacts, I have to over explain my intentions, then he's uncomfortable or upset, etc...(and this isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened so I usually just avoid trying to be silly or flirt 🙄)

Obviously it kind of seems like something that I might not want to put up with for a long term deal, but I'm curious to hear other SB experiences. Is this something you have or would tolerate? Or nip it in the bud and say "no thanks, bye!"? Ignored and just kept moving on?
