Mortal Kombat 1995

Rewatching now and asking myself how did this not become the blueprint for all video game movies going forward?

•Actors who nailed the tone •Perfect amount of fan service •Enough story for newcomers while not bogging down what game fans already knew •Teases for sequel • Fan favorite characters, none of this Resident Evil Alice nonsense and creating wholly new characters (looking at you Cole Young from MK21)

Is there anything you think I missed that’s let this movie endure into 2025?
