I broke no contact after a few months and his reply was kind. Now there’s silence again.
I left them after two years of emotional, neglect, distance and in the end also abuse. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and I’ve felt guilt ever since because they have a ton of trauma. We were no contact for three months and last week I thought I was stable enough that I reached out. They replied the next day and were really kind. A photo of a city at night, saying they’re thinking of me too, and they’ll be back from a work trip this week, no more reply to my „welcome back“ a few days ago. Silence since. Why do we reach back out? Why do they reply with this little breadcrumb and then go silent again? Same torture, same dumb hope, retraumatized myself for nothing. Feel ashamed about braking no contact because I’m working hard on myself and that was so dumb of me. It hurts like hell.
