Plaquenil side effects?

Sigh I am so frustrated and confused. My head is spinning with all that's going on with my health. I have SFN, chronic migraines, forever digestive issues, sero-negative Sjogren's and seems like my body is always battling with meds. I started Plaquenil, was on it for about 3 weeks when out of the blue I started having bladder pain as if an infection, and bladder spasms and pain got so much worse when I urinated....then I started having blood in my urine and then started peeing what seemed like only blood with clots. This happened all within the space of about an hour. Went to the emergency room and was given morphine and Pyridium for the pain, had a CT scan which showed thickening of bladder wall and a urine analysis. Showed many red blood cells, no white blood cells and possibly a little bacteria. They put me on a antibiotic to be sure and told me to see a urologist. I have an appointment for about 10 days from now. My question is, has anyone had any sort of urinary/bladder reaction to Plaquenil? I'm grasping at straws and my mind is whirling as I try to figure out why this happened. It is now almost a week since that ER visit and my bladder is still bothering me, although not to nearly that degree. No more blood at this time.
