Paralegals draft declarations
In my 27 years as a paralegal at my firm, I have never drafted anything more than a shell of a declaration. Declarations in support of motions have always been something the attorneys have put together even filling in the dec paragraphs cites in the final of the memorandum.
I always thought this was common practice amongst all litigation firms.
I am working a temp assignment at a lot firm where the attorneys expect me to draft the entire dec based off the citations from a brief.
Is this common?
