Need Help in starting an Investment as a Student

Hello. I am 19(M) and currently a college student. I make stable 20k INR per month. Its not much but it is enough.I am totally new to investments and Investing money anywhere. My parents also dont have any background in this. I am ready to invest around 11k INR per month. Everybody I have had a conversation about this has recommended a SIP. What are your thoughts? What SHOULD I do and what to avoid?
