Sea-Doo vs Yamaha for a first time buyer

Looking for advice and things to consider when looking to buy a jet ski. My aunt has a Kawasaki that we've used the last few years but id prefer something with a reverse throttle on the handlebars so looking at Yamaha models with Ride and Seadoo with the IBR. Not sure we need a supercharged model but not necessarily against it.

There's been a few good local deals on GTI SE 130/155s, Rxt-x (I think 230 and 300 models) And some used Yamaha VX Cruisers and FX. Leaning towards looking at Yamaha because I've heard of reliability issues with certain Sea-Doo models. I'm sure there's a learning curve to ski ownership and maintenance so not sure I want to jump right into a higher end model like Gp1800 or the RXTX300.
