I don’t think I’ll make it through surgery

Vent/Rant

I need my gallbladder out and I already have moderate ME/CFS and POTS and have been in a crash for a while. I still need to consult with the surgeon, probably get blood work, imaging, have to get clearance from other doctors, and then still have to go through with the surgery. Everyone says that if you’re already in PEM then you need to stop pushing but I have no choice with this. I believe the caloric deficit from being on a low fat diet is contributing to why I’m still in this crash but because I’m in a crash, I can’t even see my surgeon!

I already get worse from every little stressor or inflammation, I’m afraid surgery will make me severe or very severe. Worst part is that you’re expected to be mobile immediately after surgery to reduce risk of blood clotting. What if I can’t walk at all and they keep me in the hospital? I also have to get off all my meds before surgery and can’t resume certain ones for several weeks. I really cannot afford to get worse but I have no choice. The only thing I can hope for is that the surgery acts as a reset somehow.
