What exactly is the order of all these races they keep yapping about?

Hey, I've been playing for a bit, through a few of the girl's careers, and I will admit a complete lack of knowledge of Japanese horse racing, or horse racing in general. So, I've been curious about how the trainer tends to suggest very specific orders of races to the umas. Are there just generally accepted routes through all the races that all racehorses take IRL? That seemed strange to me, so I hoped someone might be more informed on it than I. I guess, as an example, I've seen them mention the Tiara Tour or the Triple Crown. I'm wondering about how that whole system works.
