Career question

Career question. I’m going to school for nursing but I was wondering, would it help me if I became a CNA while in school? (Let me clarify also I’m currently doing my pre reqs and won’t apply for the nursing program until next year.) at the moment, I don’t qualify for student aid and I have a good paying job at the moment that’s paying for my college right now (I go part time)but I’ve been seeing things about being a CNA can make the RN program go by “quicker” and that I’d have a higher chance of being accepted into the BSN program, but I also don’t know how true that is so I’m coming here to ask actual nurses what their opinion is before I get into the nursing program.
