Did social media trick you about maternity leave?

Curious if any other FTM had the completely wrong idea of how maternity leave would be. Social media makes it look like you have SO much time for housework, cooking, going to cafes, projects...Not at all.

I have a 3 month old, and things are getting easier because I can actually put her down now. We still have fussy days, she only cat naps 20-30 mins. Often still contact naps because the 20 min nap isn't always worth the 30 min fight to get her to sleep in the bassinet. The house (and mum) looks trashed until dad comes home. I'm lucky if I can do one little chore.

Although I now know all this is normal, and I love being on maternity leave, I just wish a lot of people didn't portray it the way they do on Social media.
