Need Advice

Recently got put on antidepressants for the first time. I’ve always had trouble with anxiety and had a rough battle with depression through junior high and high school. I haven't felt low in a long time but the anxiety never really goes away. I saw a doctor for the first time in about five years and she put me on Lexapro. I'm coming up on two weeks and it doesn't feel like it's doing anything, it's just making things worse because I'm twitchy and can’t sit still and I'm having an awful time sleeping.

Like I said it's only been two weeks, but I'm not supposed to see the doctor until October. Do I need to wait longer to see if it starts helping? I know it can take a while. Or do I already need to make a switch?
